Serverless SQL Error querying tables

Martin DebusPosted on LinkedIn

Encountered an error while trying to read a table from Unity Catalog using Databricks Serverless SQL?

Reach out to your Databricks or Azure administrator—they may need to configure the Network Connectivity Configuration (NCC) in the Databricks Account Admin settings. Specifically, they must allow the serverless cluster to access the storage account.

This issue occurs because serverless resources are managed by Databricks and operate outside your cloud tenant. As a result, explicit access must be granted to these resources by allowing specific IPs to connect to your storage account, where your data is stored.
