5.000 LinkedIn Followers

This is a personal post, scroll on if not your thing …

A year ago I was someone who had something to say, but kept talking himself out of posting it. I had 700 connections, a handful of followers, and a habit of drafting things I never published.

I decided 2025 would be different. No big strategy, just a simple commitment: one post a week, sharing what I was learning about Databricks along the way. Some weeks I put a lot of effort into something that barely landed. Some weeks a simple post took off. That’s just how it is.

This week I crossed 5,000 followers. I still find that hard to believe.

But the number isn’t really the thing. The thing is what showed up because of the consistency. At the Data + AI World Tour in Munich, I got to meet Hubert Dudek in person — one of those conversations where you realise the internet occasionally works exactly as it should. And through Pål de Vibe’s Euro Databricks Community, I found a whole group of people who take this stuff as seriously as I do, and are generous enough to share what they know.

That’s what I’m taking into 2026. Not a follower goal, not a content plan. Just keep showing up, keep learning in public, and keep finding the people worth learning from.

If you’re reading this — thank you. Genuinely.
