I discovered this feature when I was playing around with the new Databricks Tag Policies.
Last week I shared that Tag Policies in Databricks are in beta status. As as side effect, I noticed that a special certification tag can be applied to Unity Catalog securable objects like tables. They can either be set to “certified” or “deprecated” and is shown directly under the object name in Unity Catalog.
I think this is a great application of Tag Policies as well as another feature to be taken care of from the Workspace Administrators point of view.
Do you think this is useful? Or are am I overrating Tags?
