Although the focus of the Databricks Data + AI Summit was largely on Agents and AI, Unity Catalog got some updates along the way as well. This is important because proper governance fuels AI. This starts with Unity AI Gateway, continues with the new Governance Hub, Glossary, Domains and Metrics, and ends with cross-cloud and cross-region governance through the four-level namespace metastore.catalog.schema.table.
